International Pedal Pull Rules

International Pedal Pull Rules

The folowing rulles will be inforced at the International Pedal Pull.

  1. All contestants who placed 1st thru 5th at the 2007 Canadian provincial or the United States National Pedal Pull are eligible to compete.
  2. All contestants must register before the pull and must present proof of age.
  3. All contestants must be wearing shoes. Sandals will not be allowed unless they can be securely fastened.
  4. No jerking is allowed.
  5. The pull is over when the tractor and sled come to a complete stop.
  6. After the pull is started if the contestant's foot slips off of the pedal, the pull will be stopped. The track official will determine the repull possibility.
  7. No weight jackets or extra weight may be worn or carried in the pockets of a contestant. Only regular clothing may be worn. Track officials will have the final ruling on this matter if there is a question.
  8. Contestant must keep both hands on the steering wheel. No standing is allowed.
  9. Any arguing and or badgering by Contestants, parents, or guardians will result in the disqualification of the contestant.
  10. All contestants will pull in the same age group as he or she pulled in at the Canadian or United States National meet. For example, if a contestant was 12 years of age when they qualified for the International pull, and has since turned 13, they will still pull in the 12 year old group.
  11. Track Officials rulings are final.
